The Expedition is for anglers of all levels and outdoor adventurers that want to do other outdoor activities.

The Pike Expedition is organised by Zeus Nation Adventures and led by Cris Caanen. Cris, 42 years old, 1 wife, 1 cat, and 1 dog living in the Netherlands and fishing for pike since he was 12, has gained experience in Sweden by his work for Shimano, the leading fishing tackle brand in the world. He has a network of local guides and experts in Sweden. For Shimano Europe group, Cris has organised fishing content creation events like this for 3 years. Now, you can join these expeditions, and fish like the pros. Cris is responsible for the Expedition and will be leading the way for the whole trip. Cris speaks Dutch, English, German and some Spanish and a few words of French.  

Yes, bring your own boat, kayak or bellyboat. Fishing from the shore is also possible, but you will not get maximum exposure to fishing gounds.

No boat, no problem! We have multiple options for you.

• Option 1: rent one of our boats, for 300,- a week you can rent one of our fishing kayaks, or see option 2.
• Option 2: subscribe to our list of solo adventurers and team up with another solo adventurer. When is the last time you made a new friend for life? Subscribe to our list here: contact
• Option 3: fishing from the shore is possible. Last time, I caught 2 pike just in front of our Villa.
• Option 4: consider to lend a boat, or invite someone who you know with a boat to join the expedition. No experience with driving a boat? We will help you, don’t worry.
• Option 5: consider to buy a rubber boat, belly-boat or kayak, they are not expensive.

In Sweden you need a license to fish in certain lakes or areas. Some areas contain multiple lakes. To get a license, we use an iphone or android app. In many lakes you can get day licenses and in other lakes also week licenses are possible. A day permit is about 5 to 8,- euros. We will help you with setting up the app and the license. The licenses are not included in the trip price.

You need to bring your own clothing, fishing equipment, car (if you drive) and basic supplies we don’t stay in the Pike Villa. Petrol for boats and cars are not included in the price.

We are responsible for the organisation and we will take care of you on- and off the water. By fishing we will see what’s working and what’s not working on that day. Also, if you need assistance on the water we will be there to help you.

No buddy, no problem! If you are alone and are looking for someone to team up with during the expedition, you can subscribe to our list of solo adventurers. We organise a information session, about 4 weeks before the departure date, to meet other expedition members. The trip consists of 3 parts in you join the whole expedition:

• Part 1: driving up to central Sweden (5 nights)
• Part 2: we stay in the Pike Villa, (6 nights)
• Part 3: we drive back to Holland (3 nights)

For Part 1: travelling up to central Sweden we sleep in lodges we rented along the way. We eat together with food we buy locally in supermarkets.

For Part 2: in the Pike Villa we have 7 rooms, (1 single, 5 twin, 1 triple occupancy), each with its own bathroom, towels, and bedding. We sleep in pairs of 2 and 1 room can sleep 3. Eating can be done on the water, in a local restaurant or cooked in our own kitchen. We have 1 big BBQ all together, organised Cris Caanen and we eat local deer and moose meat.

For Part 3: on the way back you have 2 options: you can follow the group, or go back south on your own route. If you follow the group, we eat and sleep in lodges, or we stop at a local restaurant to eat.

Food package deals are available in the Pike Villa, the other food you eat is not included in the trip price.

For the Pike villa (fly in on 20 or 28 June). The price for 1 week of fishing is 595,- per person, based on sharing 1 double room with 2 beds.
